Royetta Batz

Royetta M. Batz, 85, of Douglassville, passed away January 29, 2016 in Berks Heim.
She was the wife of Richard F. Batz, together they celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Leroy M. Bowers and Mary E. (Andrejansky) Bowers Martin and step father Carl Y. Martin.
She was a graduate of Reading High School and was longtime member of Alsace Lutheran Church. She was employed at Reading Eagle Company as a mailer for over 20 years. Throughout the years Royetta had written many letters to the editor of The Reading Eagle giving her opinions of local news stories.
Surviving in addition to her husband Richard are children Scott J. Batz, husband of Ruth Smith, Sinking Spring; Kevin R. Batz, husband of Lisa, Exeter Twp., Tracey M. Gibbon, wife of Richard, Sinking Spring; Kirk D. Batz, husband of Jodie, Exeter Twp., granddaughter Lindsey Gibbon and brother Kippy A. J. Bowers, husband of Linda, Blandon; step sister Audrey Ritter, wife of Robert, Akron, PA. She was predeceased by sister Betty Jane (Bowers) Trembley.

Services will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, Monday February 8, 2016 at 11:00am, Rev. Mark E. Brophy officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday 11:00-1:00pm and Monday 10:00-11:00am.
