Roy Wolfskill

December 11, 1917 — October 16, 2009

Roy Harold Wolfskill, age 91, Anderson, IN, formerly of Temple, PA, passed away peacefully at Community Hospital in Anderson on October 16th, 2009. He was born on December 11, 1917 in Reading, PA, the son of George and Mary (Boyer) Wolfskill. He was retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company and was a WW II Veteran where he served in the Medical Corp. He was an active member in churches in the Boyertown District Church of God, Anderson, IN since the age of 16. He loved working with young people there. Since moving to Anderson to live with his daughter, he has been active in Christ Lutheran Church Congregation, attending bible study and singing in the choir. He so loved the family of God there who have been so faithful to him throughout this illness. Roy loved to sing and play his accordion. His wife of 67 years, Mae Eva (Davidheiser) Wolfskill preceded him in death in February of 2008. He is survived by 2 children, a daughter Joy Ann (Wolfskill) Wisler, wife of Jan A. Wisler of Anderson, IN, and a son Troy Alan Wolfskill, husband of Pamela (Ivey) Wolfskill of Port Jefferson Station, NY; 4 grandchildren, David Scott Wisler, Anderson, IN, Brad Alan Wisler, husband of Eryn of Bloomington, IN, Blake Wolfskill, husband of Dara of Coram, NY, and Hilary Wolfskill, also of Coram; and 3 great grand-children, Khrysti Wolfskill, daughter of Blake and Dara, and Wade and Hatti Mae Wisler, children of Brad and Eryn. He is also survived by a sister, Arlene Gring, and many treasured nieces and nephews and faithful neighbors. He was preceded in death by brothers Earl, Lester, and Fred and sisters Dorothy Price and Helen Rollman.
