Roseanne E. (Rooney) Gryniewich

            Roseanne E. (Rooney) Gryniewich, 93, formerly of Spring Township, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in the Laurel Center.  Born in Coney Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Hannah F. (Dougherty) and William Rooney.  She was the loving wife of Charles T. Gryniewich.  Charles and Roseanne were instant love birds and were married in September of 1951.  They were married for 66 years before his passing on April 17, 2018.  Roseanne graduated from All Saints High School in New York in 1948.  Roseanne was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church.  She worked as a Buyer for Boscov’s Ladies Sportswear for many years.  She would travel to New York City for fashion shows for her job.  Roseanne designed a lot of her own clothing and loved to be dressed up.  She was also a certified beautician.  Charles and Roseanne loved to travel, go ballroom dancing every weekend, and were very involved in Veterans’ events, mainly for WWII.  They were wonderful parents and grandparents, who will be deeply missed.

               Roseanne is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth A. Wilson, of Strausstown, her grandsons, Seth M. Gressley, of New Jersey, and Alex R. Gressley, of Maine, and her great grandchildren, Jada, Goldie, Olivia, and Finn.

               Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 11:00 am in Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St. Albans Drive, Reading, PA 19609.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Roseanne E. Gryniewich to Humane Pennsylvania, 1729 N. 11^th Street, Reading, PA 19604.  Roseanne’s final resting place will be Union Cemetery of Hellertown.  Bean Funeral Home, Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements and online condolences can be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
