Rose Hare

August 27, 1922 — August 24, 2015

Rose O. Hare, 92, formerly of Lincoln Park, passed away August 24, 2015 in Phoebe Berks Healthcare Center where she was a resident of the Phoebe Village since 2009.
She was the widow of Clyde C. Hare, who passed away October 6, 1992.
Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Heimmiller) Organtini.
Rose was a graduate of Birdsboro High School and managed the office and properties for the late Paul Koch, RA, and later served C. H. Briggs Hardware in Leesport as Supervisor of Data Processing, retiring in 1992. She was accomplished with a sewing machine and knit beautifully. In retirement she knit dozens of hats and mittens for underprivileged children.
She was an active member of Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church, serving as head of the Ladies' Aide, teacher and Superintendant of the Church School, coordinator of the "Heart and Hand" pastoral network and secretary of the administrative board. Mrs. Hare was also proud to serve as a member of the Albright College Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include children Glenn A. Hare, husband of JoAnn, Flying Hills; Ann L. Moczydlowski, wife of William W. , Silver Spring, MD; grandchildren, C. Glenn Hare, Kyle Hare, Christina Moczydlowski, Nicholas Moczydlowski and Joy Bailey; great granddaughter Ashley Bennett. Rose is survived by three of her siblings: her sister Ann Zimmerman, Wernersville; and brothers Tom Organtini, Myerstown and John Organtini, Chicago, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Hare's memory to Phoebe Berks Village, 1 Reading Drive, Wernersville, PA 19565 and/or Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church, 4 Cambridge Avenue, Reading, PA 19609.
Memorial Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, Monday, August 31, 2015 at 11:00am, Rev. David McMillan officiating. Inurnment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 10:30-11:00am.
