Roger Summers

Roger L. Summers, 48, of Spring Twp., passed away February 17, 2009 at 12:20 PM in his residence. He was the husband of Marianne L. (Murray) Summers. Born in Reading on May 27, 1960, he was the son of Walter E. and Linda H. (Homsher) Summers of Maple Grove.

Roger was a 1978 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School. He was employed as an auto technician for a total of 28 years, working at Outten, Bayliss, Sear's and Walt's Auto Center. He later worked as a technician at Reading Electric for 2 years and was last employed in the Strip Department at Carpenter Technology for 7 months last working in February of 2008.

Roger was a Past Director of HOG (Harley Owners Group) and was a member since 1995.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are a brother Michael P. Summers husband of Theresa Summers of Maple Grove and a sister Joanne L. (Summers) Hartman of Denver, a nephew Timothy Summers and 2 nieces Jennifer (Summers) Kerns and Hannah Hartman.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Holly Heilman Cancer Fund, 21 Homestead Drive, Leesport, PA 19533 in memory of Roger L. Summers.
