Roger Parker

February 24, 1943 — December 16, 2017

Roger D. Parker of Spring Township, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 in his home. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late George and Evelyn (Englehart) Parker. Mr. Parker graduated from Governor Mifflin High School and attended Kutztown University. Mr. Parker taught chemistry for three years at Northern Potter School District and for 27 years at Fleetwood Area School District. He is survived by his brother Douglass Parker of Litchfield, Connecticut, long time special friend Melanie Morley, 6 nephews and 1 niece, and many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Parker.

Funeral Services will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:00 am. Reverend Paul L. Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Thursday 10:00-11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20037 in memory of Mr. Roger D. Parker.
