Rodney Lee Haggerty, 88, of Reading passed away on January 8, 2022 in his home. Born in Newmanstown, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Ethelyn (Stohler) Haggerty. He was a graduate from Reading High School. Rodney worked as a Tire Builder for Firestone before they closed then became a Copper Smelter for Brush Wellman. He was a member of the Kettle Creek Rifle Association and Daniel Boone Rod & Gun Club. Rodney enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse racing, and cheering on the Penn State and Eagles football teams. The greatest joy in Rodney’s life was his grandsons, he cherished every moment with them and loved watching them play their sports.
Rodney is survived by his children, Lori Kline, wife of Gary of Sinking Spring, Holly Haggerty, of West Lawn, Michael Wood, of Temple and, Phyllis Wisniewski, wife of Jeff of Exeter. Also surviving are his grandsons, Tanner, Grayson, Brady, and Jordan, and his brother, Dale Haggerty. He is preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Haggerty.
