Roddy Lee Riegel

Roddy Lee Riegel, 79, of Spring Township, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of Kathleen M. (Kowalski) Riegel. Born in West Reading, Rod was the son of the late Leroy James and Annie (Strupp) Riegel.  He was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1961-66.  During his career he worked in the engineering and construction fields retiring as president of LSR Enterprises, Inc.  Rod was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed motorcycle riding.  He was a member of Vaux Lodge #406 F&AM and Rajah Shrine. In addition to his wife, Rod is survived by his sons Brett A. Riegel, husband of Stacey D. Riegel of Galivants Ferry, SC; Dustin L. Riegel, husband of Monica L. Riegel of Leesport; Ryan M. Riegel, husband of Lindsey K. Riegel of Warrenton, VA and his 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is his sister Karen Shollenberger, wife of David Shollenberger of Womelsdorf and was preceded in death by his brother Barry Riegel, husband of Mary Riegel of Womelsdorf.

Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 7:00 pm.  Masonic Service will be conducted by Vaux Lodge #406 F&AM at 6:45 pm. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  Graveside Service will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 9:30 am.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 in memory of Roddy Lee Riegel.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
