Roberta Warren

Roberta Joan (Thomas) Warren, 92, formerly of Laureldale passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 in Fairlane Gardens.  Born in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Claude G. and Elizabeth C. (Emery) Thomas.  Joan was the loving wife of the late John M. Warren.  She was a dedicated member of Reading Moravian Church.  She attended Muhlenberg, Moravian College and received her Master’s Degree at Temple University.  Joan was an Elementary School Teacher for the Reading School District for 15 years before her retirement in 1979.  She had a great passion for helping others and spent a lot of her time volunteering at church events, the Pagoda, and Manor Care – Laureldale.  Joan also loved animals but had a deep love for cats.

Joan is preceded in death by her husband, John and her siblings; Revel Thomas, Joseph Thomas, David Thomas, and C. Joyce (Thomas) Taubitz.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 11:30 am in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606.  Pastor Ron Rice to celebrate.  Bean Funeral Homes, Exeter is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
