Robert Weiss

Robert W. Weiss, 88, of Sinking Spring, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in his residence. He was the husband of Glorinne (Steffy) Weiss. Born in Allentown, Mr. Weiss was the son of the late Hoyt F. Weiss, Sr. and Mamie L. (Roth) Weiss. He was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force during Korean War and was a member of 9th United States Air Force Headquarters Band. Mr. Weiss was the Mercedes Benz sales manager at Tom Masano, Inc. from 1962 to 1993 and worked part time at Bean Funeral Homes for 12 years. He was a drummer with bands such as Ken Keely(played for Rosemary Clooney), Les Lester, Wally Spotts and Binky Dee Plus Three. Family was the most important of his life. In addition to his wife Glorinne, Mr. Weiss is survived by his daughters Kim L. Dundore, wife of Steve P. Dundore of Mohrsville and Karin F. Clover, wife of Kevin Clover of Selbyville, DE and his grandchildren Jonathan Dundore; Erika Sager, wife of Michael Sager; Carly Baker, wife of Kevin Baker and Kayleen Clover and his great granddaughter Kaspiana. He is also survived by his sister Eleanor Daubert of Valdosta, GA and brother Hoyt F. Weiss of Reading and was preceded in death by sisters Marie Mirenna, Barbara Weiss and Faye Dietrich.
Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 2:30 pm. Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate. Interment will be held privately in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, Sunday 12:30-2:30 pm.
