Robert Weihrer

Robert D. Weihrer, 95, formerly of Stony Creek Mills, passed away April 17, 2011 at 6:00 pm in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Constance (Kruszewski) Weihrer and his second wife Ethel C. (Esser) Bilger Weihrer. Born in Reading he was the son of the late Charles Weihrer and Catherine (Weihn) Morrow. Mr. Weihrer was a head mechanic for Bachman Iron Works for 30 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Penn, an United States Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II and a past trustee of Lower Alsace Fire Company Beneficial Association. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert J. Weihrer, April 3, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Barbara M. Wanner, Carl and John Weihrer and half brothers Harry and Herbert Morrow. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
