Robert Snedeker

Robert T. Snedeker, of Wyomissing passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at The Highlands at Wyomissing from complications following pneumonia. He and his surviving wife Grace were blessed with over 64 wonderful years together. His greatest joy was his family which he loved dearly: son Brian and his wife Annmarie, daughter Carolyn Kazdan and her husband Paul, son Jeffrey and his wife Suzanne. His beloved grandchildren are Thomas, Daniel, Gregory, Sara and Kevin and his wife Casandra. He was tremendously proud of them all and their many accomplishments. Bob was born in Queens, New York in 1925. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was awarded several medals including a Purple Heart. After military service he attended Amherst College, graduating with a degree in economics and mathematics. He later earned a masters degree in business administration at Adelphi University. He retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company after a career as an electronic systems designer. He was an active member of the Lutheran Church and devoted countless hours during his lifetime serving in various capacities at several congregations. Free time was usually spent when possible with family or gardening, traveling, reading or playing cards and board games.
Funeral Service will be held in Advent Lutheran Church 16 Telford Ave., West Lawn, PA 19609, Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Reverend Mark R. Rigg will officiate. Interment will be held privately by the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Advent Lutheran Church Tuesday from 1:30-2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Advent Lutheran Church at the above address or The Endowment Fund of the Highlands At Wyomissing, 2000 Cambridge Ave., Wyomissing, PA 19610 in memory of Mr. Robert T.
