Robert Smith

Robert W. Smith, 77, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 12:00 am at Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Folk) Smith who passed away February 2018.  Born in Reading, Mr. Smith was the son of the late Carl E. and Mary M. (Kline) Smith. He was a graduate from Reading High School and Kutztown University. He was a custodian for the Reading School District until his retirement and after his retirement he was a substitute teacher for the Muhlenberg School District. He also was the head coach of the Kutztown Girls Junior Varsity Basketball Team.   Mr. Smith is survived by his children William R. Smith, husband of Valerie L. Smith of Oley; Phillip M. Smith, fiancé of Debra Isenberg of Centerport; Beth Anne Smith of Albrightsville; his 5 grandchildren and his brother Edmond C. Smith of Richlands, Virginia.
