Robert Pettit, Jr.

Robert “Bob” F. Pettit, Jr., 78, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Freedom Village in the arms of his loving wife, Barbara M. (Roth) Pettit.  Bob was born in Reading, the son of the late Robert F. Pettit, Sr. and Dorothy (Lueken) Pettit.  He was a member of Wyomissing Church of the Brethren and served in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.  Bob enjoyed his lake home and his time in Ocean City, New Jersey, where he met his beautiful wife.  Bob was a facility manager at (GPU) First Energy until his retirement.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Sherry A. Briggs, wife of Michael Briggs of Somers Point, New Jersey; Donna L. Kowalski, wife of Tom Kowalski of Sinking Spring; Robert F. Pettit, III, husband of the late Kerri Pettit of Oak Ridge, New Jersey and his grandchildren Kathryn Hawk, Rebecca Doyle, wife of Corey Doyle; Alyssa Galan, wife of Joseph Galan, Alanna Oese, fiancé of Brandon Melones, Alexa and Jessica Pettit and his great grandchildren Jason, SadieAnn, Isabella Hawk and Wade Doyle.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.   The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Reverend Jan King will officiate at noon.  Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.    In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Wyomissing Church of the Brethren 2200 State Hill Road, Wyomissing, PA 19610 in memory of Robert F.
