Robert Moyer

Robert E. Moyer, 85, of Spring Township, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Berks Heim. He was the beloved husband of Shirley M. (Labe) Moyer. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George J. Moyer and Thelma M. (Starke) Moyer. Robert was a graduate of Reading High School Class of 1950. He went on to attend Kutztown College where he obtained his B.S. in 1954. Then received a Master's Degree from Temple University in 1962 and a Master's degree from University of New Hampshire in 1963. During his life he was employed as a teacher for Conrad Weiser School District from 1954-1959 and went on to educate at the Reading High School, retiring in 1993. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Timothy R. Moyer, husband of Kathy, of Lumberton, NJ; daughter, Annette L. Marton, of Carmel Indiana; and grandchildren, Hayley, Hannah, Caroline, Samuel, Noah, and Sarah Grace. Robert is also survived by his sister Nancy L. East, of Wernersville.
Funeral Service will be held at Advent Lutheran Church 16 Telford Ave. West Lawn, 19609, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11:00am. Interment at Bern Cemetery will be private. The family will receive family and friends from 10:30-11:00am at the church.
