Robert S. Marek, 64, of Collegeville, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 in Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. Bob was the husband of Ann P. (Post) Marek. Born in Palmerton, he was the son of Ann (Krokovic) Marek of Allentown and the late Steven Marek. Bob was a graduate of Marian Catholic High School and received his Bachelors of Science degree from Temple University. After receiveing his scien degree, Bob began working as a lab chemist. He then took his expertise into chemical sales. He has been with HP Wax for the last 28 years. In addition to his wife Ann and his mother, Bob is survived by his daughters Casey Marek Mauth, wife of Thomas E. Mauth, Jr. of Winter Garden, Florida and Melissa A. Marek Halphen of Trappe along with his grandchildren Madeline Merry Halphen and James Marek Halphen. Also surviving is his sister Patricia Vaccaro, wife of Thomas Vaccaro of Breinigsville, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Bob lived a life full of love for his family, friends, skiing, biking, golf and travel. He was always happy behind his drums or guitar, or just listening to music with a glass of bourbon. He was a member of Saint Eleanor Roman Catholic Church in Collegeville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Eleanor Roman Catholic Church 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 10:30 am. Reverend Steve Snischak, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories. The family will receive relatives and friends in The Chapel at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm and in Saint Eleanor Roman Catholic Church, Thursday from 9:00-10:15 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Michael J.
