Robert Manara

Robert J. Manara, 65, of Berks County, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 8:51 pm in his home. Born in Middlesex, New Jersey, Mr. Manara was the son of James Manara of Pensacola, Fl. and the late Iris (Calligaro) Manara. He was a graduate of Rutgers University and also received his law degree from Rutgers Law. Mr. Manara was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Reading and served as an attorney for Berks Legal Services. He was a prominent advocate for many local non profit organizations. He is survived by his children Jessica G. Manara, fiancAC. of A.J. Houston at home; Michael R. Manara, fiancAC. of Nicole C. Gaudioso of Philadelphia and Anthony C. Manara, husband of Melissa Manara of Exeter Township along with his grandchildren Avery C. Manara; Lucius A. Manara; Henry C. Manara and Maria E. Manara. Mr. Manara is also survived by his brother Keith Manara, husband of Cookie Manara of Toms River, New Jersey.
Memorial Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Reverend Robin L. Henry will officiate . Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Saturday from 1:00-2:00 pm.
