Robert Mack

Robert R. Mack, 89, of Spring Township, passed away Wednesday December 21, 2022 at 12:30 pm at Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of Mary Ellen R. (Swanger) Mack for 67 years.  Born in Zerbe and raised in Tremont, Schuylkill County, Mr. Mack was the son of the late Irvin and Ruth (Helwig) Mack.  He was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church for 65 years, serving as greeter, parking attendant, and Sunday school teacher. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Mack was employed by Windsor Services in Reading for 33 years on road construction until his retirement.  In addition to his wife, Mr. Mack is survived by his daughter Deborah M. Pelachick, wife of the late Thomas Pelachick with whom he last resided and his 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his siblings Laine Mack, Ruth Brown and Thelma Renninger all of Tremont, Schuylkill County.  Mr. Mack was preceded in death by his children Stephen and David Mack and Ruth Conner.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:00 am.  Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United States Air Force Honor Guard will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
