Robert Koch

Robert C. Koch, 91, of South Heidelberg Township, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 11:22 pm at Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of Elizabeth A. (Wink) Koch.  Born in Reading, Mr. Koch was the son of the late George and Mary (Kiehl) Koch. He was a 1949 graduate of Reading High School and was a member of Saint Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church in Robesonia. Mr. Koch served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was an accounting clerk at CarTech for 35 ½ years, retiring in 1992.  In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Michael R. Koch, husband of Julie L. Koch of South Heidelberg Township; Debra M. Galen of Mount Penn; Linda A. McMullen of Womelsdorf; Lori A. Boepple, wife of Matthew S. Boepple of South Heidelberg Township, his 8 grandchildren, Jessica Kalbach, Rachel Jerant, Shane Holland, Jeremy Galen, Brianna Helm, Alex Koch, Keith McMullen and Ashley Williams, and 8 great grandchildren.  Mr. Koch was preceded in death by his brothers Donald and George Koch.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church 321 North Church Street, Robesonia, Friday, February 17, 2023 at 10:00 am.  Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Saint Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church Friday from 9:00 am to 9:45 am.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 in memory of Mr. Robert C.
