Robert Hoffmaster

Robert J. Hoffmaster, 89, of Cumru Twp., passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 at 10:30 p.m. at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where he had been a patient since December 21st.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George Hoffmaster and Leila (Brown) Hoffmaster.

He was the husband of Jeanne K. (Dickinson) Hoffmaster. The couple shared 68 wonderful years of marriage.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, and a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Reading. He worked as a freight car repairer for Conrail.

He is a member of the Masonic Lodge #435 in West Reading, a member of the Shriner's of North America, of the East End Athletic Club; a Life Member of the Goodwill Fire Co., and of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Lodge Council Chapter Consistory.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Linda J. (Hoffmaster) Field of Mohnton.

There are also two grandsons: Christopher and Peter Field, and a great grandson: Baker Field.

He is also survived by her sister in law: Grace Hoffmaster of Reading.

In addition to his parents, he is also pre deceased by four siblings.

The family requests that no flowers be sent, and instead Memorial Contributions be made to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 421 Windsor St., Reading, PA 19601.
