Robert Anthony Gaeta, “Pop”, 71, formerly of Hoboken & Jersey City, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, in his home. He was the loving husband of Sharon L. Gaeta (Collins). Together they shared 40 years of marriage. Born in Hoboken, NJ, on December 9, 1952, he was the son of the late Michael and Lillian (Castelfranco) Gaeta. During his life, he worked as a Bread Baker for many years until retiring in 2005. He relocated with his family to Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania in 2005. Robert was a New York Islanders and New York Mets fan. He loved his dog Puck and was the best loving “Pop” to his grandchildren. He was also a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church.
Robert is survived by his wife Sharon L. Gaeta, of Sinking Spring; son, Robert Anthony Gaeta Jr., husband of Cynthia Gaeta, of Willmington, NC; daughters, Dawn Marie Gaeta, of Sinking Spring; Jamie Marie (Gaeta) Goldyn, wife of Joseph S. Goldyn, of West Lawn; grandchildren, Alijah, Robyn, Mariah, Jayden, Lucas, Samantha; and brother, Joseph Gaeta, husband of Carmella Gaeta, of Tom River, NJ.
Robert was predeceased by his daughter Tammy Ann Gaeta, who passed away on August 9, 2006.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ignatius Loyola Church 2600 St Albans Drive Reading, PA 19609 on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 10:00am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 8:15am-9:15am at Bean Funeral Homes 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 and Friday, February 2, 2024 from 7:00pm-9:00pm.
