Robert A. Futej, Sr.

              Robert “Bob” A. Futej, Sr., 82, of West Lawn passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023, in his home.  Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Pieja) and Andrew Futej.  He was the loving husband of Joan C. (Milburn) Futej, she passed away March 22, 2017, together they shared 22 years of marriage.  Robert worked as an electrician for most of his life.  He loved to build train sets with scenery.  Robert enjoyed being outdoors and visiting his home in the mountains.  He was constantly fixing something or working on a project, he liked staying busy.

               Robert is survived by his children, Rickey Futej and Erica Evans of Minersville, his stepchildren, Lori Rayel, of Wernersville, James Benfield, and Sherry Ruffner, of Reading, his 11 grandchildren, his 14 great grandchildren, and his sister, Dorothy Lemanick.  In addition to his wife, Joan, Robert is preceded in death by his children, Tammy Gorr and Robert A. Futej, Jr., his grandchild, his 2 great grandchildren, his brother, Teddy, and sister, Teresa.
