Robert P. Everline, 87, of Reading, passed away January 20, 2009 at 6:05 a.m. in his residence. He was the husband of Marie A. (Elensky) Everline. Born in Reading on January 28, 1921, he was the son of the late John F. and Edna C. (Born) Everline.
Mr. Everline was a 1938 graduate of Reading High School, a 1942 graduate of the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and he attended Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Mr. Everline was first employed as a free lance artist by Time, In. in New York. He was the art director of William E. Ridge sons, in New York, and later Quest Advertising in Reading for 39 years until his retirement in 1986.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters: Mary E. (Everline), wife of Walter M. Kidd of Sinking Spring, Catherine A. (Everline), wife of Frank A. Barbalace of Glenmoore, and Theresa M. Everline of Austin, TX; 6 grandchildren: Lauren, Samuel, Thomas and Matthew Kidd, and Taylor and Devon Barbalace. He was predeceased by a sister: Margaret M. (Everline) Connolly and his step mother Catherine L. (Styer) Everline Fritz.
