Robert Leon Dotterrer

Robert Leon Dotterrer, 93, of Shillington passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Wyomissing Health & Rehab Center. He was the beloved husband of Faye Esther (Haas) Dotterrer. Together they shared 70 years of marriage.

Born in Reading he was the son of the late Jacob Landis and Esther S. (Bieber) Dotterrer. Robert served proudly in the United States Army, during the Korean War. He graduated from Reading High School in 1956 and went on to attend the Industrial Management Institute. During his life, he worked as an Industrial Engineer for Brown Trailer and then Reading Truck Bodies until retiring in 2000.

Robert was a skilled trap shooter where he won many awards for his talent. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of Christ Yocom’s Lutheran Church.

Robert is survived by his wife Faye E. Dotterrer, of Shillington; sons, Steve Robert Dotterrer, of Shoemakersville; Michael David Dotterrer, of Reading; granddaughter, Amanda Bevan, wife of Matt Bevan of Frackville, PA; and great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Jacob, and Grace. 

He was predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA 19607on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 12:00pm. Pastor Scott Davis will officiate.
