Rita Papich

Rita E. Papich, 89, formerly of Exeter Township, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10:00 am in Berks Heim where she was a guest since August 2010. She was the wife of the late Anthony R. Papich who passed away March 29, 2008. Born in Reading , Mrs. Papich was the daughter of the late Harold and Anna (Rettew) Drexel. She was a member of Saint Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church and was a sorter at Leininger Knitting Mills in Mohnton for 20 years. Mrs. Papich loved to vacation to the Delaware Beaches and Raystown Lake. She is survived by her children Robert A. Papich, husband of Kerry A. Papich of Exeter Township; Dennis J. Papich, husband of Kathy J. Papich of Denver, PA and Cheryl A. Waren, wife of Barry E. Waren of Lower Heidelberg Township. Mrs. Papich is also survived by her grandsons Chris and Todd Papich; Jason and David Waren and Matthew and Ryan Papich and her great grandchildren Ethan; Liam; Mallory; Sawyer; Cami; Coby and Brynn. She was preceded in death by her brothers Harold and Leonard Drexel.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:00 am. Reverend Joann Rowell will officiate. Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Wednesday 9:30-10:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association 225 North Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601 in memory of Mrs. Rita E. Papich.
