Rita Heckman

Rita I. Heckman, 92, of Bern Township, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 7:50 am in her residence. She was the wife of the late Alton A. Heckman who passed away March 13, 1978. Born in Reading, Mrs. Heckman was the daughter of the late Roy and Bessie (Weaver) Rudolph. She was employed at Boscov's East as a telephone operator from 1978 to 2007 and attended Hope Lutheran Church in Reading. Mrs. Heckman is survived by her children Dorene L. Lefkowith, wife of the late Otto S. Lefkowith with whom she last resided and Todd A. Heckman, husband of Kelly A. Heckman of Wernersville. She is also survived by her grandchildren Robin Riegel; Kelly Witwer and Alec Heckman; her great grandson Mason Riegel; her step grandchildren Gary Lefkowith and Nancy Cabera and her step great grandson Brandon Riegel.
