Rita F. Grube

Rita F. (Hoover) Grube, 92, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at The Rittenhouse at Muhlenberg. She was the beloved wife of the late John H. Grube, whom passed away on March 28, 2011. Together they shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, on September 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel N. (Shuman) Hoover. Rita was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School. During her early years, she worked at the Knitting Mills in Reading, for several years. Rita had a talent for alterations. She enjoyed shopping at the Goodwill and altering anything she bought to perfection.

Rita is survived by her son, John W. Grube, husband of Terri, of Cumru Township; daughter, Cynthia A. (Grube) Boger, wife of Douglas, of Leesport; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and her brother Russell Hoover. She was predeceased by 8 siblings.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 10:00am. Inurnment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.
