Richard Weik

Richard D. Weik, 87, formerly of Kenhorst, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 10:45 pm in Denver Health & Rehabilitation Center where he resided since 2009. He was the husband of Betty Weik and was preceded in death by his first wife Angeline (Sinistri) Weik, June 10, 1998. Born in Womelsdorf, he was the son of the late Harry and Lillian (Oberly) Weik. He was a member of Mellinger's Lutheran Church in Stevens and served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He was a department clerk at Penn Optical for 34 years and also worked as a Security Guard at Boscov's Department Store for 14 years, retiring in 1982. He was past treasurer of Poco Retirement Club and was a life member of East End Athletic Club and enjoyed bowling. In addition to his wife, Mr. Weik is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11:00 am. Reverend Timothy L. Craven will officiate.
