Richard Oulds

Richard T. Oulds, 90, formerly of Shillington, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020 at 10:25 am in Manor Care Health Services, Laureldale.  He was the husband of the late Ruth H. (Kern) Oulds who passed away August 1, 2004.  Born in Reading, Mr. Oulds was the son of the late Howard W. and Anna B. (Coley) Oulds.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was an inspector at Dana Corp for 40 years retiring in 1990.  Mr. Oulds is survived by his children Michael T. Oulds, husband of Jodie Oulds of Mohnton; Kathleen A. Burdan of Reading; Jan M. Laws, wife of Michael Laws of Brecknock Township and his 3 grandchildren Amanda Pawling, Erika Laws, Evan Laws and 2 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister Jeanette A. Calabria, wife of Kevin Calabria of Angelica Woods.  He was preceded in death by his step son Peter S. Romeo and his brother Howard R. Oulds.

Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 10:00 am.  Reverend Paul L. Jones will officiate.  Interment will follow in Wyomissing Cemetery, Gouglersville.  The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Thursday 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
