Richard I. Deeds

Our dear father, Richard I. Deeds, died on November 10th at the age of 93.     

He is survived by his beloved wife Billie Jean, loving daughters Debra (Thomas) Calvaresi, step-daughter Eileen (John) Calabria, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brother Warren Deeds of Atlanta, GA and many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Reading and is predeceased by parents Thomas and Mary Deeds, brother Harold Deeds, sister Ella Porr and stepson James Nardo.  His first wife, Shirley (Harple) Deeds died December 1951.

Richard retired from the Dana Corporation in 1990. He loved gardening, golfing, and traveling including four European tours and many cruises.

He was a very kind and loving man and will be sorely missed by his family and friends  

Funeral service for Richard will be held on Friday November 17, 2023 at Laureldale Cemetery, Chapel, 4631 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605 at 12:00 PM. The family will receive guests in the chapel from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Online guestbook and condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
