Richard E. Bentz

Richard E. Bentz, 70, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Sinking Spring, Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was the loving husband to Patrice L. (Marquette), who he shared 46 years of marriage with. Born in Reading, Richard was the son of the late, Norman H. Bentz, and Ernestine “Totty” R. (Edris). Rich worked as a Senior Lab Technician for GPU Nuclear for over 29 years and went on to work within the shipping and receiving department for Tower Health. Rich was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sinking Spring. He was a U.S. History buff, and had a passion for motorsports, especially NASCAR. He enjoyed rooting for his Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

In addition to his wife, Patrice, Rich is survived by his children, Douglas Richard Bentz, husband of Tiffany, of West Lawn, Eric Michael Bentz, of Winterville, NC, his grandchildren, Lily, Logan, his brother, Carl N. Bentz, husband of Ruthie, and his grand dogs, Zoey & Daisy.

Funeral Service for Richard will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 9:30 AM. Internment to follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and guests in Bean Funeral Home, Sinking Spring, on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday, December 29, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
