Richard Barnett

June 16, 1935 — July 9, 2017

Richard D. Barnett, 82, of Kenhorst, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 11:15 pm in his home. He married the love of his life Agnes P. (Mobilio) Barnett who passed away December 25, 2012 and to whom he was married to for 58 years. Born in Reading, Mr. Barnett was the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Sebastion) Barnett. He was a 1953 graduate of Wilson High School and served in the United States Army. Mr. Barnett was employed as a mill wright at Brown Trailers and Reading Tube and was carpenter and mason for Barnett Construction. He is survived by his sons Gregory R. Barnett of West Lawn and Dale C. Barnett, husband of Eileen M. Barnett of Exeter Township along with his grandchildren Phillip B.; Sarah K. Green; Louis D. and Daniel S. He was a life member of South End Gun Club and enjoyed trapshooting. He was past member of ATA and enjoyed trips to the Grande American and Elysburg state shoots. Mr. Barnett was also a member of the Honda Gold Wing Association and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and his wife Agnes enjoyed riding their Honda Gold Wing locally and cross country.

Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10:00 am. Pastor David A. Klase will officiate. Interment will follow in St. John's (Hain's) Church Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Monday, July 17, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 9:00-10:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or American Cancer Society 498 Bellevue Ave. Reading, PA 19605 in memory of Mr. Richard D.
