Rev. Dr. Nancy C. Belsky, 64, of Maidencreek Twp., passed away February 4, 2010 at 3:00 PM in her residence after battling brain cancer. She was the wife of Stephen E. Belsky. Born in Patterson, NJ on May 14, 1945, she was the daughter of Kathryn (Steele) Stone of Wayne, NJ and the late George William Stone.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Montclair State University, a Master of Divinity from Drew Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. She worked for several years as an elementary and junior high school music teacher in New Jersey, before entering into pastoral ministry. Rev. Belsky worked as a pastor in The Greater New Jersey Annual Conference of United Methodist Church for 27 years retiring in June of 2007. She had been attending Calvary United Methodist Church in Mohnton with her husband for the last two years.
Her passion for teaching and pastoral ministry was witnessed in her devotion to the many churches she served, but her greatest joy was the time spent with family, especially her grandsons.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 daughters Laurel S. (Belsky) wife of Michael J. Martone of Ledgewood, NJ and Cynthia L. (Belsky) wife of Steven D. Stouffer of Garwood, NJ, 4 grandchildren Jason M. Martone, Evan A. Martone, Sean D. Stouffer and Mark D. Stouffer. Also surviving are 3 brothers Robert G. Stone husband of Marilyn S. Stone of Loveland, CO, Donald T. Stone husband of Lisa C. Stone of Lincoln Park, NJ and William M. Stone husband of Katherine C. Stone of Ardmore, PA.
