Regina Carifo

August 2, 1960 — November 8, 2009

Regina M. (Rozzi) Carifo, 49, of Spring Twp., passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 3:52 p.m. at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.


Born in Sewickley, PA, she was a daughter of Gene F. Rozzi and Sylvia (Ermi) Rozzi of Aliquippa, PA. She was the wife of James E. Carifo. the couple shared 24 wonderful years of marriage.


She was a 1978 graduate of Hopewell High School, and 1982 graduate of Carlow College Nursing Program.


She most recently worked as the Director of Nursing for nursing services for Health Calls in Wyomissing, where she worked for the last five years. She previously worked in nursing for St. Joseph's Hospital in Towson, MD and Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.


She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Church, Sinking Spring, where she formerly served as C.Y.O. President. She was also a member of the Junior League in Baltimore, MD.


In addition her husband and parents, she is survived by her children: Jon R. Carifo and Gianna F. Carifo of Sinking Spring.


She is also survived by a brother: Gene F. "Sparky" Rozzi Jr., husband of Tracy Rozzi and their children Sophia & Marco Rozzi of Peters Twp.; her Mother in law ; Olivia (Cercone) Carifo, widow of Dominic Carifo, of Aliquippa, PA, and sister in laws: Karen F. Carifo of Las Vegas, Bernard and Linda Carifo of Fairfax, VA, Roxanne Carifo of Warren, PA, and Steve and Annette Rossi & their children Thomas, Jeffrey and Gregory of Rockaway, NJ
