Raymond “Corky” C. Weidenhammer, 77, of Fleetwood, passed away peacefully on Friday November 22, 2024, at the Reading Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Huber) Weidenhammer, the love of his life. Together they shared 58 years of marriage.
Born on March 1, 1947, in Reading, he was the son of the late Charles David and Jean Mae (Hunsberger) Weidenhammer. Corky was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School. During his life, he worked as a V.P. and General Manager for various companies, including many years with Heyco Metals, 6 of which in California, and 3 years in Penang Malaysia, until retiring from Technical Materials Inc. in 2011.
He was well respected and involved in many community services. He is survived by his wife Barbara Weidenhammer of Fleetwood; daughter, Reneé Sarge, wife of Bret Sarge, of Sinking Spring; son, Sean Weidenhammer, husband of Kelly Weidenhammer, of California; 7 grandchildren, Matthew Sarge, husband of Harley Sarge, Derek Sarge, Jacob Sarge, Lucas Sarge, boyfriend of Hailey Petetti; Samantha Weidenhammer, Emma Weidenhammer, Hannah Weidenhammer; and brothers, John Weidenhammer of Tennessee, husband of Valerie Weidenhammer; and James Weidenhammer, husband of Lisha Weidenhammer, of Muhlenberg Township. And many nieces and nephews.
Family was the most important thing in Corky’s life. He was truly one of a kind that brought joy, passion, and creativity to everything he did. Golfing, he was a member of Golden Oaks Golf Course, boating, woodworking, and renovation projects, travel, and family events. And….he always had a cigar.
Services will be private and at convenience of the family. Online condolences may be made to www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
