Raymond Charles “Mac” McNamara, 83, of Exeter, passed away October 13, 2020 in Penn State Health – St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Queens, NY he was the son of the late Thomas McNamara and Margaret McNamara. He was the life companion of Barbara (Marzano) King and together they shared 40 years together. Mac served his country in the United States Navy during the Cold War. He was a member of the Reiffton Fire Company Social Quarters. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and bowling, as well as spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid bowler, and achieved several bowling awards.
In addition to his life companion, Barbara, Mac is survived by his daughter, Tara (Marzano) Rupert, life companion of Joey Ambrose of Reading and brother-in-law-, Vincent Marzano, husband of Amy.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Bean Funeral Homes, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.. During that time there will be time for sharing memories about Mac. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the United States Navy. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516 in memory of Raymond “Mac” McNamara.
