Raul Alvarado

Raul Alvarado, 80, of Shillington passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 in the Reading Hospital.  Born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Felix and Francisca (Ortiz) Alvarado.  Raul was the husband of Teresa (Gomez) Alvarado and together they shared 55 years of marriage.  Raul proudly served in the United States Army.  Raul was a self-employed electrician and oil burner mechanic but was very handy with many things.  He loved to fish, play cards, and cook.  Raul was most known for his beef stew.  He also loved and was good at carpentry and was a welder.

In addition to his wife, Teresa, Raul is survived by his three children, Ann Heine, wife of Fred Heine, Jason Alvarado, husband of Cristina Alvarado, and Mylanie Alvarado.  Also surviving are his two grandsons, Derick Heine and Joaquin Alvarado.
