Randy Earl Rinker, 54, of Wyomissing, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the Reading Hospital. He was the loving companion of Linda J. Wile, of Wyomissing, who shared 14 years together. Born in Lebanon, he was the son Earl C. Rinker and Betty Mae (Kostenbader).
Randy received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electric Engineering from Lehigh University. He was employed as a Computer Systems Analyst, for Core BTS for more than 20 years.
Those who knew Randy know him as a life long model train enthusiast and rail fan. He collected and completed Reading Railroad HO scale models and layouts. He was actively involved as the Treasurer of Board of Directors for Reading Railroad Heritage Museum Technical and Historic Society.
Randy was a beer and food enthusiast. He enjoyed progressive rock music, concerts, and reading. He had a love for space exploration, computer technology and his two pugs Trixie and Harley.
In addition to his companion Linda, he is survived by his sons, Andrew M. Rinker, of Wescosville; Cameron E. Rinker, fiancé of Gina, of Phillipsburg, NJ; sister, Tammie Rinker, wife of Os Matthew, of Bethlehem; nephews & niece, Robert Rinker, husband of Zoe; Quinn Matthew and Eve Matthew.
Interment will be at convenience of the family. Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reading Railroad Heritage Museum Technical and Historic Society 500 S. 3rd Street Hamburg, PA 19526 in memory of Randy Earl Rinker.
