Ralph Valletta

Ralph F. Valletta, 91, a resident of the Heritage at Green Hills, passed away Monday May 8, 2017 at 11:40 am in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. He was the husband of the late Veronica M. (Mansfield) Valletta who passed away January 25, 1990 and Ellie M. (Anker) Ritchie Valletta who passed away October 28, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Valletta was the son of the late Raphael and Rafaella A. "Rae"(DeJulio) Valletta. He was a graduate of Frankford High School in Philadelphia and attended Drexel University. Mr. Valletta was a member of Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church where he was a member of 50 plus Club. He was an active member and past president of Central Catholic Sports Boosters Club; past president of Birdsboro Lions Club and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies Fan. Mr. Valletta is survived by his children Ralph F. Valletta, Jr. of Mount Penn; Gina M. Rush, wife of Robert E. Rush of Bethlehem; Marcia E. Evans, wife of the late Jack W. Evans, III of Exeter Township and Maria B. Torres, wife of Peter L. Torres of Exeter Township. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jeffrey R. Rush; Aaron R. Rush; Sean P. Evans; Alex W. Evans; Kayla N. Evans; Adam M. Torres and Jenna E. Torres and his great grandson Ethan W. Rush.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:00 am. Reverend Brian M. Miller, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Birdsboro. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township Monday, May 15, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm and in Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church Tuesday from 9:00-9:45 am.
