Ralph Potteiger

Ralph F. Potteiger, 93, of Laureldale, who will be sadly missed by his family, passed away Tuesday, March 13,2 018 at 2:45 am in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. He was the husband of the late Catherine A. (DeAngelis) Potteiger who passed away March 19, 2009. Born in Leesport, Mr. Potteiger was the son of the late Jacob F. and Esther M. (Huff) Potteiger. He was the co-owner of Lyons Knitwear in Temple. Mr. Potteiger is survived by his brother Lee F. Potteiger of Wernersville; step-grandsons Jason V. Esterly, husband of Tara Esterly of Mohnton; Kenneth P. Esterly, husband of Joan Esterly of Temple; step-granddaughter Nikki Esterly of Reading; step-great grandchildren Jace, Jett, Zachary, Deja and Madison and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step daughter JoAnn Esterly, February 2002.
Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery 3139 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, Monday, March 19, 2018 at 10:00 am. Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate. Inurnment will follow. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Heart Association 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75231 in memory of Mr. Ralph F. Potteiger.
