Ragnhild S. Clougher

Mrs. Ragnhild S. Clougher, 84, of Birdsboro, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11:30 am at Keystone Villa at Douglassville.   She was the wife of the late Henry J. Clougher, Jr. who passed away June 29, 2014.  Born in Stavanger, Norway, she was the daughter of the late Mangor and Telma (Danielsen) Idland.  Mrs. Clougher came to the US at age 14 and lived in NJ most of her life.   She was the cashier at Union Hospital in Union NJ for over 30 years until her retirement.  She enjoyed traveling, was a Girl Scout Leader in her early years, was the master of Halloween costumes and loved spending time on the family boat fishing and crabbing.   Ragnhild was outgoing and had a great smile.  Mrs. Clougher is survived by her daughters June M. Clougher wife of Edward J. Povilaitis of Birdsboro; Diane Litterer wife of the late Terry Litterer of Roselle Park, New Jersey; her grandchildren Michael Litterer (wife Jerriann) and Katelyn Litterer (husband Ryan Peters) and her great grandchildren Shane and Gavin Litterer.  She was preceded in death by her brother John Idland and her son Michael Clougher. 

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside, New Jersey.   Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com.    No public services are planned but donations can be made in Ragnhild’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at ALZ.org.
