Pietro Spada

Pietro Spada, 85,of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away October 29, 2009 at 6:35 AM in his residence. He was the husband of Filomena (Grande) Spada who passed away May 8, 2006. Born in Andali, Italy on June 29, 1924, he was the son of the late Saverio and Parmarosa (Spada) Spada.

Mr. Spada was employed as a machine operator by Textile Machine Works for 18 years retiring in 1983. Mr. Spada served in the Italian Army.

Surviving are a son Giliberto Spada of Wyomissing Hills owner of Calabria's Restaurant, 2 daughters Rosa (Spada) Logozzo of Muhlenberg Twp. and Lydia (Spada) Folino of Wyomissing owner of Folino Construction and the former Coliseum Restaurant, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a sister Maria (Spada) Talarico of Andali, Italy.
