Peter Farrier

Peter H. Farrier, 81, of Centre Twp., passed away November 16, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of Marjorie G. (Brey) Farrier; they celebrated 22 years of marriage. His first wife Dorothy I. (Davis) Farrier passed away in 1990.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Irvin and Theresa (Wolfe) Farrier.
A 1952 graduate of Central Catholic High School and was a US Navy veteran, having served on the USS Taconic and USS Davis where he was plank owner. He was employed at Western Electric as an Electrical Technician for over 30 years, retiring in 1990.
Pete was a kind, loving man who will be missed by all.
He enjoyed many things throughout his life, traveling in his travel trailer, visiting 38 states; dancing, talented woodworker, gardening, bird watching, decorating his home for the holidays, socializing with friends and most importantly spending time with his family. For over 20 years he fostered and cared for Virginia Wise in the Life Sharing program at Threshold where he received two special awards in 2008 and 2015. Additionally was past vice president of local 1898 IBEW, life time member of VFW in Reading, Ivy and East Ends.
Surviving in addition in his loving wife Marjorie are children Susan M. Farrier, Bethel; Bruce A. Winters, husband of Candy, NC; Bryan L. Winters, Exeter Twp; Cathy L. Kumar, Palmyra; Richard H. Brey, Lancaster; Alesia D. Burch, Reading; RaeAnn M. Gonzalez, wife of Alberto, Lancaster; Pamela L. Johns, Mountville; Ernest E. Prutzman, Bethel; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings Virginia, Thomas and Paul.

Services will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, North 16th & Rockland Sts. Hampden Heights, Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11:00am, Rev. Kerry L. Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday 6:00-8:00pm and Friday 10:00- 11:00am.
