Pearl Fizz

Pearl M. Fizz, 96, of Reading, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2008, at 8:45 a.m. at Berks Heim Nursing Home, where she resided since August 21, 2003.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Howard W. and Mary E. (Greth) Moyer, and wife of the late Earl S. Fizz, who passed away in 1974, and Harvey E. Brown, who passed away on March 5, 1996.

She worked as a machine operator for Bortz Candy Co. in Reading for 6 years, retiring in 1962.

She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading.

She is survived by son: Gene E. Fizz of Reading; Daughter: Phoebe P. (Fizz) wife of Dr. James Moyer; 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

She was predeceased by sons: Gary J. Fizz in 1941 and Harry J. Fizz in 2005.

Services from the Bean Funeral Homes, N. 16th & Rockland Sts., Hampden Heights, Monday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Rebecca Knox, officiating. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends will be received Monday from 9 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
