Paul Troutman

Paul R. Troutman, 91, formerly of West Reading, passed away January 24, 2009 at 4:07 PM in Phoebe Berks Health Care Center. He was the husband of Kathryn E. (Fleisher) Troutman who passed away October 14, 1996. Born in Reading on February 7, 1917, he was the son of the late Paul W. and Jennie (Coldren) Troutman.

Mr. Troutman was a 1935 graduate of Reading High School and a member of the Phoebe Berks Chapel.

Mr. Troutman was employed by CarTech in Reading for 46 years last working in the Metallurgical Department (Nuclear Group) until his retirement January 31, 1981.

He loved his family and always went out of his way to help others. He was an exceptional optimist with love for all.

Surviving are 2 sons, Paul E. Troutman and his wife Linda L. (Helbig) Troutman of Ontelaunee Twp., Barry L. Troutman and his wife Lin L. Strever of Olympia, WA, 2 grandchildren, Susan (Troutman) and her husband Anthony Fronzeo and Andrew Troutman and his wife Kristine Troutman, 3 great grandchildren, Michael Troutman, Melissa Fronzeo and Anthony Fronzeo and a sister Esther (Troutman) Colliflower of Flat Rock, NC. He was predeceased by 3 sisters Miriam (Troutman) Flatt, Ruth (Troutman) James and Thelma (Troutman) Koenig.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Phoebe Berks Village, 1 Reading Drive, Wernersville, PA 19565 in memory of Paul R. Troutman.
