Dr. Paul S. Marshall, 75, of Wallingford, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in Wallingford Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Shillington, PA, he was the son of the late Ann (Bettick) and Alvin Marshall. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, obtained his master’s degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and earned his doctorate from the University of Bath in England. Paul was a Professor of Finance at Widener University for 30+ years before retiring. He was awarded the Fulbright scholarship twice as a professor. Normally, the scholarship allows a professor to travel to a country only once but Paul was able to convince them to allow his two visits to Russia as Russia is a very large country. Paul’s love for travel took him to over 55 countries and he often bragged of this accomplishment. Paul also enjoyed staying closer to home and traveled frequently to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina with family and friends to enjoy the beach, golf and everything else the Lowcountry had to offer. He was very passionate about the finance world and was always up to date on the stock market.
Paul is survived by his sons, John “JP” Marshall, husband of Emily of Phoenixville and Alexander “Sander” Marshall.
