Paul D. Hafer, 92, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away December 1, 2010 at 3:05 PM in Manor Care Health Services in Sinking Spring where he resided since November 15th. He was the husband of June E. (Moyer) Blankenbiller Hafer and was predeceased by 2 wives Kathryn M. (Hoffman) Hafer in 1979 and Charlotte B. (Stutzman) Hafer in 1999. Born in Sinking Spring on November 12, 1918, he was the son of the late Edwin S. and Margie N. (Garman) Hafer.
Paul was a 1937 graduate of Sinking Spring High School. He was employed as a machinist by Hub Tool for 33 years and later worker as a driver for Avis at the Reading Airport from 1986 until 2008.
He was a Past Master of Puritan Lodge # 740(1964) and served as Past Treasurer of the lodge. He was a Past Commander of DeMolay #9 (1964) and Historian of Muddy Creek Hunting Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a number of step children, step grandchildren and 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
