Paul H. Fett, 93, of Wernersville and formerly of 1945 North 16th St. Reading died Tuesday November 27th at Phoebe Berks. He was the husband of Mary Louise (Schappell) Fett who died November 22, 2016.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Paul W. and Rosa M. (Crouse) Fett.
Mr. Fett, a World War II Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge, was a machine gunner in Patton's 3rd Army, 87th Infantry Division, 347th Regiment, Company D. Paul enjoyed attending annual army reunions all over the country.
In 1951 he graduated from the Lehigh University College of Engineering with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He was a lifetime member of IEEE and the treasurer of the Berks Chapter, PA Society of Professional Engineers for 18 years.
He was employed for 39 years by Met Ed/GPU retiring as Consulting Engineer, Electrical Design and Controls. Paul enjoyed bowling on the Met Ed teams for his entire career and into retirement. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Reading, he also attended First EC Church in Reading along with his late wife Mary Louise and family.
Paul loved spending vacations at the Jersey shore and camping. He enjoyed toy trains, and was a longtime member of TCA and Reading Society of Model Engineers.
Surviving is his son, Robert H. Fett, husband of Sharon Murray of Bolton, VT, his daughter "Sally" Sara L. Esterly, wife of Darin, Conestoga, PA, and his grandson Ethan D. Esterly. Also surviving is a sister Phyllis Stetler widow of Ralph E. Stetler of Mifflin Park, niece Barbara Bressler, her husband Jeff & daughter, Nancy; nephew Craig Stetler, his wife Tammy Jo & daughters, Briana Legerlotz (Brandon), Casey Spadaro (Tom) & Jenna.
Services will be Saturday, December 8 at 10:00 AM in Bean Funeral Home, 1605 Rockland St., Hampden Heights, Reading, with Rev. Michael Sigman officiating. Friends may call Saturday 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at Charles Evans Cemetery,
