Paul Franklin Deisher, 100, of Reading, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 11:22 pm in Manor Care Health Services, Muhlenberg Township. He was the husband of the late Erna (Weitkunat) Deisher. Born in Topton, Mr. Deisher was the son of the late Jacob and Louisa (Miller) Deisher. He was a member of the New Apostolic Church and was the owner of Penn Valley Nursery. He was also employed by RCA, in Lancaster, for 10 years and Wagner Electric, in Boyertown, where he retired. Mr. Deisher is survived by his son James J. "Jim" Deisher, husband of Yvonne A. Deisher, of Reading. He is also survived by his granddaughters Dawn Snyder, Stefanie Emes, and Whitney Deisher, along with his great-grandchildren Kirsten, Austin, John and Riley. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Stichter.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, North 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights, Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 5:00 pm. Evangelist Jason Lessig will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be held at the convenience of the family in Zion's Union Church Cemetery, Maxatawny. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, Sunday from 4:00-5:00 pm. Contributions may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517, in memory of Mr. Paul Franklin Deisher.
