Patricia Tezak

Patricia Lee Tezak, 78, of Reading, passed away Sunday December 27, 2020 at 4:44 pm surrounded by her loving family in her residence .

She was the wife of David F. Tezak, with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles L. Smith and Nellie M. (Page) Smith.

Mrs. Tezak owned and operated the Pat Tezak Beauty Salon on North 10th St. in Reading for 25 years prior to her retirement in 1992. She was a 1960 graduate of Reading High School and was a member of the 18th ward Democratic Club. Mrs. Tezak loved music, especially doo wop and was a great dancer and was very creative and artistic. Known by friends as “Paterace” she was always well dressed and could light up a room with her great personality and smile. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending auctions, flea markets and she especially loved her dogs.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Tiffany Tezak of Kenhorst. She was preceded in death by her siblings, N. June Manzi and Charles L. Smith Jr., who was killed in Luxembourg while serving in WW 2.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the hospice aids and nurses; and also to Caroline, Jen, Margie, Mandy, Diane, Cathy; and a special thank you to Pat’s longtime friend Meriam.

Funeral Services will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 1:30pm.  Chaplin Brad Haws will officiate.  Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Thursday from 12:30pm until 1:30pm.
